Bensaude Hotels and Walk&Talk Azores
In the 80th year of the Bensaude Hotels, we celebrate creativity, irreverence and the 5-year partnership with Walk&Talk Azores – International Public Art Festival.
From the Azores Islands to the world, Walk&Talk celebrates its 5th edition through 60 artists from different geographic locations as well as a plethora of art disciplines to co-create a unique experience. Here the work of art is born from creative sharing in full fusion with nature, culture and local community. We elevate the Azores name and culture through a packed agenda between July 17th and August 1st with events in public areas, artistic residencies, workshops, projections, conversations, concerts and a whole lot of fun.
This year, Alexandre Farto, AKA Vhils, returns to Walk&Talk. Known for his wall-sculpted “faces,” Vhils is one of the most famous names in the world of international street art, with works showcased around the world. Artists Brad Downey, Derek Bruno, Rodrigo Oliveira, Dalila Gonçalves, Pastel and Filippo Minelli are also participating in this public art exhibit.
Awarded with the European EFFE label for artistic commitment, involvement in their local communities and a European and global Outlook, Walk&Talk has very rapidly become one of the most significant cultural representations of the Portuguese and Azorean reality.
In 2015, the Bensaude Hotels resumes the tour through the Public Art Circuit, introducing hotel guests to the more iconic street art works from the last years, portrayed on the sides of buildings, walls, streets, ruins all over town and the Island. Guests will also be able to watch some of the artists of this 5th edition while they create their magic.
This is the 5th year in a row that the Bensaude Hotels is partnering with this live modern cultural exhibit, as we value cultural trends, innovation and expression in both the insular and national levels.
Celebrating 80 years in providing top notch service and creating unforgettable experiences for all who want to tell the world about the Azores Islands and our unique culture.
